Pormenor Vinhos started to produce wines in 2013 and Pedro Coelho is the one who embraces the entire process based on the assumption that less is more.

It seeks to produce pure and traditional wines where the main focus is grapes and vines and, above all, wines that reflect the beauty of the vineyards and the particularities of the land, maintaining and transmitting the sense of place – the Terroir -, unique in the Douro. Climate, soil, vines and grapes are the main actors and in each vintage, their justice! A work done in order to later transmit its full potential in the winery where we work with a philosophy of minimal intervention, with autochthonous, indigenous and low So2 yeasts, avoiding all unnatural additives.

Grapes from different vines planted at altitude and in different locations in the Douro. Shale and granite soils, depending on each wine. The vines are destined for the corresponding wine, being vinified in different styles and also different types of fermentation.

Pormenor Wines are made with little extraction and long macerations, where the objective is to produce elegant and mineral wines, focused on their freshness and natural acidity, which tend to be contained in the alcoholic degree. Bottled with a predictable good potential for aging in the bottle but ready for consumption as soon as they are available.
