It is in one of the northernmost points of Portugal, in Minho, in the heart of the land of Vinho Verde, that the story of the wine producer Quinta do Regueiro begins in 1988.
História
Quinta do Regueiro
When we talk about Quinta do Regueiro we are talking about a family project in which the proximity of nature, the freshness and balance of the neighboring Rio Minho, the authenticity of the wisdom of older generations and the daily dedication to an old passion, combine with innovation and quality, in a differentiation that has been its formula for success.
Discovering the Alvarinhos in the Monção and Melgaço region is not just about discovering a wine, but about an entire territory. The Alvarinho wines produced by Quinta do Regueiro are distinguished by their uniqueness and unique characteristics. Fruit of a unique terroir, which gives them rare properties in terms of minerality, the high-altitude vines, planted in granitic soils, result in wines with strong acidity and an unusual longevity in bottle. Every year, around 1500 liters of wine are stored and are aged for 8 to 10 years, following the principle of giving time to time, which the producer believes – and has already proven – to be the secret to making good wines, giant wines.
