Casa do Capitão-mor Alvarinho Reserve 2020 comes from a single plot (the oldest) at Quinta e Casa do Capitão-mor (Quinta da Boavista) in Mazedo, Monção.

The grape production follows environmentally friendly practices and is certified as “Integrated Production.”

It exhibits complex and intense aromas of candied orange, honey, caramel, and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied and long, with a noticeable batonnage effect. It is balanced, elegant, and persistent.

Winemaking

The must is fermented in stainless steel, and the wine remains on the fine lees with batonnage until the bottling preparation. There is a partial (10%) oak aging involved. The wine undergoes bottle aging for 6 months.
