Definido Red 2018

Definido Red 2018 has as its record, a fine and elegant wine, the result of the intention to create a fine wine with a typical extraction from the Dão region. Shows a bright ruby color. The aroma is deep, complex and austere. The mineral profile, with floral notes, cocoa and forest fruits, is in full harmony with the notes of the barrel. In the glass, over time, the wine will show several layers, in a very elegant register, but with tension, reflecting the freshness and minerality of the old vines. With a silky texture and firm structure, it has highly polished tannins. Despite being young, it impresses for its balance and precision. Very fine, long and seductive aftertaste. You will age with great class.

The grapes that make up this wine are also from different sub-regions of Dão, where the age of the vines is between 60 and over 100 years old. The vast majority of these grapes come from old vines with a vast mix of typical regional varieties, such as Tinta Pinheira, Tinta Carvalha, Baga, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Fêmea, Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro, Jaen, among others. The grapes were harvested by hand and during the harvest occurred a first selection of fruit in the field were only harvested the grapes suitable second demanding quality criteria.
