Argilla are terroir wines, with a select and differentiated profile, obtained from very noble Portuguese grape varieties.
História
Anta de Cima
Argilla wines are produced at Herdade da Anta de Cima, owned by the Tenreiro family, located in Serra de Montargil, in the district of Portalegre. Farming is based on the region’s traditional agro-forestry production system, in which cork oak forests and gentle pine forests stand out, grazed by flocks of Alentejo sheep and pigs fattened by the lande.
The vines exploit the most fertile soils on the estate, clay and Mediterranean soils, clayey, acidic to slightly alkaline, well drained, predominantly exposed to the south and with a moderate slope.
